Install this site (Chrome menu → Install app). "xcwds" then shows up in the share sheet; pick it and the link opens here already cleaned.

iPhone

iOS doesn't let web apps into the share sheet, so use a Shortcut instead:

1. In the Shortcuts app, tap + to make a new shortcut and name it.
2. Open its settings (ⓘ) and turn on Show in Share Sheet. Set it to receive URLs and Text.
3. Add the URL Encode action with Shortcut Input as its input.
4. Add Open URLs and set the URL to https://xcwds.com/utils/url-sanitizer#url= followed by the URL Encoded Text variable.

Then share any link to that shortcut. The link stays on your phone — everything after # is never sent to a server.
